Our Initiatives
Creating Impact
Explore our ongoing projects and programs aimed at making a positive difference in the lives of those battling addiction. We are committed to providing comprehensive support and resources to empower individuals on their journey to recovery.
Prevention
Harm Reduction
Our prevention model takes on a harm reduction approach. We work with TheWorks Toronto, Public Health Toronto, to distribute and provide harm-reduction kits to users on the streets and in the community. Keeping people safe is our main goal. Complete abstinence can seem impossible for most addicts, which is why a harm reduction model is more effective at the beginning
Safety
Distributing Naloxone
Naloxone is a lifesaving medication used in the event of an opioid overdose. Working with local pharmacies in Toronto and Public Health, we can distribute naloxone to people on the street. By providing widespread access to naloxone kits, we can reduce the chance of death by overdose. Our goal is to save lives by delivering Naloxone and educating common folk on how to administer naloxone.
Awareness
Educating Communities
A huge part of addiction is lack of awareness. Many addicts are not aware of the resources that are out there and most non-addicted persons do not understand the severity of the opioid crisis in Canada. Our goal is to inform the public about this destructive disease and how we can help.
Recovery
Connecting Addicts to Community Programs
Our support programs offer guidance and assistance to individuals and families affected by addiction. We strive to provide a tailored solution based on what has worked for addicts in the past rather than what a medical textbook says is best. We connect addicts to local addiction clinics, detox centers, 12-step-recovery programs and treatment centers.
